Do I need to book?

Due to the limited amount of participants allowed in classes at the moment, booking is essential. You can either use the Gymcatch app and search for Energise or book online at https://app.gymcatch.com/provider/1273/events

What should I wear?

You should wear something you feel comfortable in that won't restrict your movements too much. Tracksuit bottoms / leggings /t-shirts are ideal. Please wear trainers. Pilates should be done in socks or bare feet.

Do I need to bring anything?

It is advisable to bring a drink. Due to Covid-19 I am not able to supply mats at the moment, therefore please bring your own if you are attending Pilates, Legs Bums & Tums, Total Body Conditioning or Aerobics & Toning.

I've never exercised before / or haven't exercised for a long time? Will I be able to keep up?

If you are not sure about which class is best for you, phone for a chat first and I will be able to advise you. All the classes are very relaxed and everybody is encouraged to work at their own level. You will not be made to feel embarrassed if you are unable to do certain parts of the class or if you have to stop. Remember everybody was a beginner once.

What is the minimum / maximum age for the classes?

The minimum age is 14 with the exception of Clubbercise which is 13 (I am not covered by my insurance to have younger children participate in the class.) Also classes need to be structured differently for a younger age group. There is no maximum age. I have had people over the age of 80 attending my classes.

Are the classes suitable for men and women?

Yes they are. Although you will find that it is predominantly women that attend. As long as that doesn't put you off lads, you are welcome to come along!

I have a bad back / knee (or other). Can I do the class?

Again, if you have any concerns, phone for a chat before hand. It is important that I am aware of the problem. It is likely that I would be able to adapt certain exercises to make them more suitable for you. If you have any doubts it is always best to consult your GP first.

Is parking available at the halls?

The Cornwell Centre has a car park.

At the United Reformed Church Hall there are a limited number of spaces available down Polsted Road alongside the church. If you need to you can park in Armour Road or Victoria Road.

St Mary Magdalen Church Hall has a limited amount of parking spaces outside the entrance to the hall in Rodway Road.
